Breathing radiant new life into heirloom metalwork, the original "Heart Cloud" is a commanding statement wall sculpture created from authentic vintage and antique silver-plated serving ware. Sourced from historic platters and trays dating from the late 1800s through the 1970s, each heart is meticulously cut, precision-sanded, and layered at dynamic angles to showcase intricate manufacturer scrollwork, vintage filigree patterns, and warm metal undertones.
An expansive cascade of luminous silver-plate, glowing brass, and rich burnished copper creates an architectural relief joined using high-strength nickel-bearing brazing. An enduring keepsake for Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, housewarmings, weddings, and milestone anniversaries (7th Copper/Brass, 21st Brass, 22nd Copper, and 25th Silver), it is sealed in a crystal-clear automotive lacquer finish to ensure the multi-tonal luster never tarnishes or requires polishing.
Because every piece is sculpted from genuine historic serving ware, each sculpture possesses its own one-of-a-kind personality. Natural variations in antique engraving, patina, and metal shading reflect the authentic age and soul of the underlying vintage materials.
